Eligibility for Medical Visa from Tajikistan to India

  • The sole purpose of travel should be of having a medical treatment in India.
  • The applicant should seek medical treatment at reputed/specialized/recognized hospital in India.
  • Two medical attendants are allowed to travel with the patient. They can be his/her family members, relatives or associates.
  • The non-exhaustive list of treatments for which one can seek medical treatment include  neurosurgery, joint replacements, renal disorders, cardiac problems, congenital disorders, ophthalmic disorders, organ transplantations, radiotherapy, plastic surgery, gene therapy and others.

 

Important Documents Required for Indian Medical Visa from Tajikistan

  • Original passport valid for not less than 6 months bearing two blank pages.
  • An official letter of treatment and recommendation from the local doctor who is treating the patient.
  • An official letter from the Indian hospital stating its approval of treating the patient.
  • Document proving the financial stability of the patient to support his/her medical treatment in India.
  • Online Application of Indian Medical Visa from Tajikistan

    • Click on Regular Visa Application in the Indian Visa Online website.
    • Enter your basic information: your name, country name, nationality, date of birth, high commission, email id, type of visa, expected arrival date in India.
    • The form consists of three pages. After filling each page, click on Save and Continue at the bottom.
    • Enter the correct credentials regarding your family address/profession/occupation.
    • Put correct information regarding the local hospital of your treatment , the hospital you are going to have treatment in, in India, duration of the treatment, number of entries required, the purpose of your visit, expected date of arrival and departure, other information, details about SAARC country visit and reference.
    •  In case you do not have a reference in India, you can provide Vaidam’s office address and contact number only if you coming for your treatment in India through Vaidam’s assistance. Click here to get the details.
    • Paste a 2 inch x 2 inch color photograph with white background on the rectangular photo box after you take a print of the completely and correctly filled visa form.
    • A preview consisting of all your inputs will appear as a preview after you have clicked on Save and Continue on the third page.
    • In case of any mistake click on Modify/Edit to rectify.
    • Click on Verified and Continue if you are sure that the data entered by you is authentic and accurate.
    • Go through the set of instructions that appear on the new window thereafter and click OK for final registration. In case of any corrections, click Cancel.
    • Select the appointment date for the submission of visa at the Mission Counter and click on Confirm the Appointment in the new window.
    • Click on Save in the new window so that you do not lose your online visa application.
    • To get the hardcopy of your application, click on Print Registered Application.
    • Put your signature on the rectangular box just below the photo box on the first page of the application. Do the same in the rectangular box at the bottom of the second page.
    • Submit the application form with the necessary documents at the Mission Counter on the appointed date.

     

    Indian Medical Visa Processing Fee

    The medical visa processing fee for 6 months costs USD 80, that is 718 Tajik Somoni.

    Medical Visa Information after Your Arrival in India

    Medical Visa Extension

    In case some extra days are required for the completion of the treatment or the recovery, patients can go for medical visa extension. In such cases patients have to acquire an official letter from the concerned hospital stating his/her ailment, treatment procedure and the number of days taken for the complete recovery of the patient. The applicant has to go to the FRRO office with the letter along with the necessary documents to extend his/her stay in India.

     

    FRRO

    Foreign Regional Registration Office administers the registration, departure, visa extension and other aspects regarding foreign passports, visas and the stay of international travellers in India. After their arrival in India, the international patients have to register themselves in the FRRO office. The documents required for the registration is listed below:

    • Application form.
    • Photocopy of the passport and the initial visa.
    • Four photographs of the applicant.
    • Details of residence in India.

    E-Tourist Visa from Tajikistan to India

    E-tourist visa can be used for medical travel when patients require short term medical treatments or check-ups. Here are the documents that are required for E-tourist visa.

    • PDF version of the scanned first page of the passport.
    • The size of the PDF should be 10KB to 300KB.
    • A digital photograph is to be uploaded. The photograph should maintain the following criteria:
      • Size: 10KB to 1MB
      • The height and width of the photo should be equal.
      • Photo should have full face, front view and eyes open.
      • Center head within the frame. Head from top of the hair to the bottom of the chin of the individual should be prominent.
      • Background should be plain light colored or white.
      • There should be no shadows on the face or on the background.
      • The photo should not have any borders.
